Where I’ve Been

My career started at General Mills where I managed the Marketing Communications of two organic food brands (Muir Glen Organic and Cascadian Farm Organic) from strategy to execution. These were former social enterprises that had been acquired by the company. It was there I had a “lightbulb moment” that it’s not only possible to do the impactful work that the world needs, but for me it’s also critical.

After moving to London, I worked for thenetworkone as an International Communications Consultant supporting marketing agencies in establishing partnerships across borders. Additionally, I helped publish a CSR thought-piece tying together perspectives from 13 agencies across 11 countries.

From there, I found a home at London Bio Packaging as Marketing Manager and was then promoted to run the broader business as Head of Business Unit. This was a particularly exciting and rewarding role. There, I managed a team of four/five and oversaw the general business operations while guiding our overall growth strategy focused on circularity and environmental sustainability. I led us through a rebrand, organizational restructure, reforming a new team, and many other challenges and opportunities to become a better sustainability offering. It was an eventful and transformative experience for me. I also was effective in driving further internal investment toward our business, increasing the organization’s commitment to sustainability. (More importantly, how cute does my team look in this photo of our tree-planting excursion?)

At that point, I became emboldened and felt called to be part of larger-scale initiatives to directly and urgently fight climate change. So, back to the States and the classroom I went. During my MBA studies at USC Marshall, I stepped toward philanthropy and the non-profit sector with a graduate internship at The Rockefeller Foundation where I managed various projects including the development of a new organizational brand strategy.

Now that I’ve graduated and earned my MBA in Sustainability and Social Impact and a Graduate Certificate in Sustainability and Business, I am seeking to join an organization devoted to driving innovative, scalable solutions to our climate crisis.

The impact space is full of change-makers and I look forward to continue finding my place among them!
